Be'ad Chaim

Though it is wonderful, parenting is hard work. As followers of Messiah, we must provide mothers in need with spiritual, emotional and physical support. Here, my newest cousin exudes pure joy.

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" ~ Deuteronomy 30:19

Be'ad Chaim means "pro-life" in Hebrew. Yesterday during our congregational service we met the director of Be'ad Chaim on a livestream video call from Israel. Sandy Soshani shared passionately about the excellent care that women receive when they reach out to Be'ad Chaim for help. Since 1988 they have rescued thousands of babies and provided education, counseling, and tangible provision to mothers through their sponsorship program, Operation Moses.

The staff, volunteers and donors of pregnancy care centers act as the hands and feet of Yeshua/Jesus in providing compassionate counseling and physical resources to mothers in need. Be'ad Chaim is a bright light in the dark culture of death in Israel where approximately one in five babies is aborted.

"Since 1948, more babies have been aborted in Israel than the number of children that died in the Holocaust." ~ Sandy Soshani, Be'ad Chaim

At Congregation Shema Yisrael, Rabbi Jerry Weinstein followed Soshani's interview, sharing an excellent message on the sanctity of human life. He taught from Psalm 139 and challenged false religion:

"If we claim to be followers of God, we cannot affirm a so-called right to abortion without denying the authority and truth of scripture in our lives." ~ Rabbi Jerry Weinstein paraphrasing Francis Schaeffer

Since 1973, more than 63 million babies have been murdered. On January 22, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a presidential proclamation designating the third Sunday of January as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Today is a day to bring awareness to the attacks that are daily waged against human life.

One of the best ways we can protect unborn lives is by bringing into the light the darkness of abortion and supporting local pregnancy help organizations that daily reach women and families with messages of hope and life.

Bringing light to the darkness of abortion means exposing the truth about what it is and what it does. Live Action has teamed up with ob/gyns who formerly performed abortions to produce this highly informative series about the four main types of abortion procedures.

Exposing the evil of abortion is one way to honor the victims and acknowledge the reality of this heinous act. If the thought of seeing an image of an aborted baby makes you anxious or upset, it should. It's not supposed to be comfortable and those images are truly awful. We must never grow callused to the death of the innocent.

"It is a good and natural thing to be disturbed. We should be disturbed by the destruction of the Image of God. The very reason why we all are rightly disturbed by these images is why they must be shown. Abortion is truly an abomination, an abomination that is hidden away in dark corners. Shine a light." (Abolish Human Abortion)

“For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” ~ Luke 8:17

SUPPORT PREGNANCY HELP ORGANIZATIONS

Commit to making a monthly donation to support mothers in need, here in the United States and in Israel. Besides money, you can also share the valuable and valued resource of your time by volunteering.

Go where mothers take their baby to be slaughtered and offer spiritual and physical hope through The Good News of Yeshua/Jesus. It is best to go with someone else. Always go in love with the Holy Spirit.

“Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter” ~ Proverbs 24:11

“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” ~ Yeshua/Jesus Luke 4:18-19
